Sagar Public School

Sagar Public School is over at Plot No 9/A in Saket Nagar, Bhopal. It’s a big site, and we’ve got quite a bit of ground to cover every day. If you come by in the morning, you’ll see the security guards directing the buses and the staff heading to their rooms. The building is solid, and we try to keep it clean, though with hundreds of kids running around, there’s always a bit of mud on the floor or a stray piece of paper in the garden. We have these wide corridors where the sound of voices echoes a lot. The teachers here are a hardworking bunch who spend their free periods in the staff room grading piles of exam papers or planning for the next week. It’s not like those fancy corporate offices you see on TV. Our desks are covered in books, and the notice boards are pinned full of handwritten notes and timetables. During the monsoon, the grounds get a bit soggy, and we have to keep the kids from jumping in the puddles too much. We focus on the daily routine—assembly, classes, lunch, and then the rush to get home. It’s a steady rhythm that we’ve followed for years. Most people in Saket Nagar know us, and we’re just a regular part of the neighborhood where work happens every single weekday.
