Govt Girls Higher Secondary School

Jahangirabad is a busy part of Bhopal, and our school has been right here for quite a long time now. People around here know the building of Govt Girls Higher Secondary School well. Usually, the day starts early when the gates open and the girls start coming in from the nearby lanes. You can hear the noise of the traffic outside from the classrooms, but once everyone is inside, things settle down. The hallways are wide, and we have several rooms for different classes. It is not a fancy place, just a regular government building with paint that has seen better days, but it serves its purpose for the families living in the 462008 area. In the afternoons, when the sun gets hot, the shade from the trees in the yard is where most people like to stand. We have desks that have been used by many students over the years. Some of the windows don't close perfectly, but the breeze is nice during the summer months. Teachers here carry their registers and chalk to the rooms every morning. The playground gets quite dusty when the wind picks up, but that is just how it is in this part of Bhopal. We focus on getting through the syllabus and making sure the girls attend their classes regularly. There is always someone at the main entrance, usually talking to a parent or checking who is coming in. It’s a plain, hardworking place for local students.
