Mayoor School

Our school is up on the 6th floor of Platinum Plaza, right in the middle of the New Market area in Bhopal. It is a very urban and busy setting for a place of learning. Instead of a big sprawling campus with grass fields, Mayoor School has classrooms and offices inside a large commercial building. You have to take the lift up to the A/3 section to get to us. The 462003 area is always buzzing with shoppers, street vendors, and traffic, so it is quite lively right outside the main door. Inside, we have converted the available floor space to work for teaching the students. It is more of a modern and compact environment. We don't have a big grassy field for football or cricket; we just make do with the indoor space we have for our daily activities. The windows in the classrooms look out over the city rooftops and the busy streets below us. It is a lot of glass and concrete around the place. The staff spends their time organizing the daily schedules and meeting with parents who often work in the nearby government or private offices. It is a convenient location for people who are in the city center for their jobs. We keep things simple and try to stay organized. The hallways are a bit narrow, and you can often hear the hum of the city through the walls even during lessons. It is just part of being here.
