Kids Convent High School

Kids Convent High School is located at 817 A in the Housing Board colony in Karond, Bhopal. It’s a residential area, so the school feels very much like a part of the neighborhood. The building is a straightforward structure. When the school day starts, you can hear the kids reciting their lessons from the sidewalk. I’ve been working here for a long time, and I’ve seen the area change around us while the school stays pretty much the same. We have a small staff of teachers who live nearby, which makes it feel very local. The classrooms have wooden desks that have been around for years, and we keep them as clean as we can. We don’t have a massive campus, but the kids find ways to play in the spaces between the buildings. During the rainy season, the ground can get a bit muddy, but we just put down some planks and keep going. My office is near the entrance, so I see everyone who comes and goes. It’s a busy job, especially when it is time for exams or when we are getting ready for a holiday. We don’t go in for anything fancy; we just focus on the textbooks and making sure the students are actually learning something. Most of the parents here work nearby, so they often drop in for a quick word before they head to their own jobs. It’s just a normal, hardworking school in a normal Bhopal neighborhood.
