Eastern Public School

We are located in Ward 1 of Gandhinagar which is a quiet corner of Bhopal. If you walk down the street, you will find us easily enough. The school is a big part of this neighborhood. Every morning you can hear the sound of the children arriving and the teachers getting ready. It is a practical place. We do not have marble floors or anything like that but the rooms are big and have plenty of light. I spend a lot of my time walking around the halls and checking on things. Sometimes a light needs changing or a desk gets wobbly and needs a bit of a fix. We have a lot of families from around Gandhinagar who have sent their kids to us for a long time. It feels like a small village sometimes because everyone knows everyone else. When the monsoon hits, the yard gets a bit muddy and we have to make sure the kids do not track too much dirt inside, which is always a struggle. The staff here are mostly local people too. We just focus on the daily routine of teaching and making sure the school stays clean and orderly. It is not a complicated life. We just want to make sure the kids have a decent place to learn their lessons every day without any unnecessary drama or fancy talk. It is just what we do here in Bhopal.
