Rabbani Publications

We are located at 67, Tolwali Masjid Road, right in the heart of Lakherapura. It is a busy part of Bhopal with narrow streets and lots of shops around us. Our place is mostly filled with stacks of books and paper everywhere you look. We deal with various publications, mostly religious and educational texts that people in the neighborhood and beyond need. The shelves are cramped, and sometimes you have to move a pile of boxes just to get to the back of the room. It is not a very modern setup, and we still use some old-fashioned methods for keeping track of things. The smell of ink and paper is pretty strong once you step inside. We spend most of the day answering questions from people who walk in looking for specific titles. Sometimes the street outside is so loud with traffic and people going to the mosque that we have to shout a bit to be heard. We have been in this building for a long time, so the walls have some cracks and the flooring is uneven in spots. It is a working office and a store combined into one small space. There is a small desk where we do all the billing and packing for orders. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know where every book is hidden. It is a simple business in a very traditional part of the city. We just keep the books moving.
