We are a group of local women working together in the Thandla area. Poorva Aajeevika Mahila Farmer Producer Company Limited is based right here in Goyal, Nogawa. We use Ghanshyam Mangliya’s place as our main spot to gather and talk about the crops. Jhabua is where we live and work, so we know these fields pretty well. It’s not a fancy office or anything like that. Most days, you’ll find us busy with the seasonal work that comes with farming in Madhya Pradesh. We started this because we wanted to handle our own business instead of just selling things off quickly. It gets quite hot here during the summer months, but we keep going. The roads around Nogawa can be a bit rough sometimes, especially when the rains start, but we manage. We aren’t experts in big business talk, but we know how to grow things and how to help each other out when the harvest is ready. People in the village know where we are if they need to drop by. We just focus on the daily tasks, making sure the seeds are good and the work gets done on time. It is just a bunch of us trying to make a living from the land we have always known. We do not have a big marketing team, just our hands and the dirt. We take things one day at a time here.
