Nimbod Farmer Producer Company Limited started because a few of us in Mandsaur were tired of struggling on our own. We use Babulal Nimbod’s place as a sort of home base for the company. Mandsaur is a big farming area, but individual farmers often get the short end of the stick when it comes to selling. So, we put our names together to form this group. It’s not some polished business with a lot of paperwork and meetings. It’s mostly just neighbors talking about how to get better seeds or where to sell the harvest this time around. We don't have fancy titles or a big staff. Everyone who is part of the company also works their own land. We spend our days out in the dirt, checking on the plants and hoping for good rain. Sometimes we have to deal with pests or dry spells, and that’s when being part of a group really helps. We share tools and advice when someone is having a tough time. It’s a simple setup, really. We just want to make sure that the people who actually grow the food get a decent share of the profit. We aren't looking to grow into a giant firm. We just want to keep our families fed and our farms running for another generation. If you come by our part of Mandsaur, you'll see us just doing what we've always done, just a bit more organized now.
