Naya Sawera Kaleen Bharat Farmers Producer Company Limited is based in Alapur which is in the Joura area of Morena. Our place is on the Kachcha Road. If you know the area you know it can get pretty dusty when the wind blows. We chose the name Naya Sawera because it means a new morning and that’s what we wanted for our farming families here. Morena is known for certain things but farming is the backbone of most people's lives in Alapur. We are just a group of local people who decided that we shouldn't just be at the mercy of middle men all the time. Our office is just a simple building on that dirt road. It isn't fancy at all. We spend most of our time out in the fields or traveling to check on the crops. Sometimes the roads are bad and it takes a long time to get anywhere but we don't complain much. We focus on what we can grow and how to get it to the people who need it. It’s a learning process for all of us. None of us went to business school. We just know what it’s like to work from sunrise to sunset. We are trying to build something that lasts for our kids. It’s not about being a big corporation. It’s about people from the village helping other people from the village.
