Mahis Beauty Parlour

My shop is Mahis Beauty Parlour. We are on the second floor of the Bonanza Boutique building on Marwari Road. This is in the Ibrahimpura area of Bhopal, not too far from the Hilton Palace. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, but it’s quieter up here than down on the street. Marwari Road is always full of people and shops, so being on the second floor gives us some privacy. I started this parlour because I wanted to have a place of my own. It is just a small room with some mirrors and the basic tools for beauty work. We do hair, threading, and some bridal work when it is the season for it. I don't have a big team, just me and my sister mostly. We grew up around here and know the neighborhood well. The light in the shop is good in the afternoons because of the big window. We don't have fancy brochures or anything. Most of our ladies come because their friends told them about us. It is a simple place where you can sit and talk while you get your hair done. Sometimes we have tea together if it is not too busy. I like being my own boss, even if the work is hard sometimes.
