Layara Farmer Producer Company Limited

Out here in Layra, life revolves around the seasons. We started Layara Farmer Producer Company Limited because we wanted to have a collective voice for the farmers in our area. We use a space at Usman Khan’s house in Layrabadrudin Khan village. It’s 464224 if you’re looking at the post. It isn’t much of a business headquarters in the way people in cities think about it. It’s more of a place where we gather to talk about grain prices and who has the best equipment for the next harvest. We know each other well since we’ve grown up on these same patches of dirt. Sometimes the rains don't come when they should, and other times we have too much, so having this group helps us manage things a bit better. Usman’s place is easy to find if you’re from around here. We don't spend a lot of time on paperwork unless we really have to. Most of the work happens outside under the sun. We are just a group of local people trying to keep our farms going. It’s hard work, and we don't always agree on everything, but we get by. We aren't trying to be some big corporate entity. We just want to farm and maybe make things a little easier for the families in Layra. There is always something to do, whether it is fixing a fence or checking on the sprouts before the sun gets too high.
