Khajuriyakalan Farmers Producer Company Limited

Our group is called Khajuriyakalan Farmers Producer Company Limited. We are located at Mukesh’s house, he's the son of Ram Singh, out in Khajurikala. It’s in the Sehore area, postcode 466651. If you live around here, you know Khajurikala is a quiet place where most everyone is busy with their own fields. We set this up to try and manage things better for the local growers. It is basically just a room in the house where we keep the books and meet up. There isn’t much to it, honestly. Mukesh handles a lot of the day-to-day stuff. We spend a lot of time sitting and discussing the prices of fertilizers or wondering when the rain will actually show up this year. It's just a small operation for the village people. We don't have any flashy signs or a big warehouse. Most of the work happens outside anyway. When the tractors are moving and the grain is being bagged, that is when we are busiest. The rest of the time, we are just keeping things ticking along. It's a local thing for the farmers here in Sehore. We don't use fancy talk or big computers much, just writing things down and making sure the members are looked after. If you're passing through Khajurikala, you'll find us easily enough by asking for Mukesh or Ram Singh’s family. It’s just how we do things here. We are just regular people working the land together and trying to make it work out for everyone.
