Kesla Krashak Farmer Producer Company Limited

In our part of the world, Kesla, we have a lot of farmers just trying to make ends meet. We formed the Kesla Krashak Farmer Producer Company Limited to help with that. You can usually find us around Shri Bhagram’s place, he’s the son of Shri Mangal Singh. They have been part of this community forever. We aren't a big business with a lot of money. We are just a group of people who grow crops like soy or wheat. Farming is a gamble every year with the weather. We thought if we worked as one group, we could share the risk a bit. We don't have a polished way of talking. We just say things as they are. If the crop is bad, we talk about what went wrong. If we need a better way to get the harvest sold, we sit down at Bhagram's and figure it out. It’s a lot of manual labor and long hours in the sun. We aren't looking for any awards. We just want to be able to keep our land and maybe save a little bit. It's a very local thing. Everyone knows everyone else. We share our knowledge about the soil and help out with the heavy lifting. It’s just how things are done here in Kesla. We are just regular people trying to do right by our families and our fields.
