Kautuka Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our office for Kautuka Farmer Producer Company Limited is just a house, number 704, over in Kharda. It is a small village and life here revolves around the seasons and what is growing in the fields. We aren't some big city company with a lot of money. Most of what we do is just organizing the local farmers so we can buy things in bulk and maybe save a few rupees here and there. Kharda is the kind of place where you have to rely on your neighbors if you want to get anything done. We spend our mornings checking on the crops and our evenings sitting around at the house talking about the price of grain. It is a lot of paperwork, which none of us really likes, but it has to be done to keep things legal and above board. We try to keep things simple. There isn't any big hierarchy here; we all just pitch in where we can. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to do everything by candlelight or wait until the next morning. That is just life in the village. We have a lot of different people involved, some with small plots and some with bigger ones, but we all face the same problems with the soil and the rain. We are just trying to make it a bit easier for everyone to keep their farms going without going into debt. It is a slow process but we are making a go of it as a group.
