We are set up at Number 01 in Kauni Kolkhurd, which is the base for Kauri Kol Farmer Producer Company Limited. It’s a simple address for a group of people who just want to get the farming work done right. Being in Kauni Kolkhurd means we are right in the middle of where all the action is. We aren't the type of people who like sitting in offices all day, so we mostly use the space at address 01 to keep our papers organized and meet when we have to make big decisions. Most of our members are just local farmers who have been working this land for years. We decided that working as a group would be better than everyone struggling on their own. It’s not always easy, and there are days when the weather or the prices just don't go our way, but we stick together. There is a lot of talk about fertilizer and rain when we get together. We don't have any polished speeches or big plans; we just want to make a living and keep our farms going. The village is quiet most of the time, but during harvest, it gets very busy and you can see everyone out working hard. We are just a small part of that, trying to make things a little easier for the folks around here. It’s honest work and we are proud of it.
