We are based out in Sankarpur Pichhore, which is near Dabra in the Gwalior area. The company name is Kalindrykunj Farmer Producer Company Limited, and we operate out of Shradha Gupta’s place. It’s a quiet spot, but there’s always something going on with the farms. We started this because we saw how much work went into growing crops and how little we sometimes got back. By joining together, we can share the burden a bit. Gwalior can have some tough weather, and being part of a producer company makes it a little easier to manage the risks. We aren't corporate types; we are mostly just farmers who spend our time in the fields. The office is where we do the necessary paperwork and talk about the next harvest. It’s not very fancy, just a room with some chairs and a desk where we handle the business side of things. We grow whatever the season allows in this part of Madhya Pradesh. We’ve found that working as a group helps us get better seeds and maybe a better price when it’s time to sell. It’s a slow process building something like this, but we are taking it one day at a time. We focus on the practical side of farming, making sure the local growers in Dabra have a way to get their stuff to market without too much trouble.
