Jawed Habib Hairxpreso

I'm working over at Jawed Habib Hairxpreso in Bhopal. If you know the Minal Shopping Mall on J K Road, we are right there at Ug 48. It’s on the upper ground floor, so it's easy to find once you get inside the mall. Most people come in because they are already doing their shopping and realize they need a quick trim. It’s not a huge place, just enough room for a few chairs and the hair washing stations at the back. We see a lot of students from around J K Road since there are many hostels nearby. The mall gets quite loud on Saturdays, but inside the shop, we just keep the music low and focus on the cutting. The floor gets covered in hair pretty fast, so someone is always sweeping. We use those standard black capes and keep our scissors sharpened. It’s a busy spot, especially before the holidays when everyone wants to look a bit neater. The mirrors are large and the lighting is that bright white kind they have in most mall shops. We don't really do much besides hair, so it's straightforward. We open when the mall opens and stay until the lights start going down at night. It’s just a regular job for us, cutting hair and making sure the combs are clean for the next person who sits down in the chair. It keeps us busy all through the day.
