Hot Plate Restaurant

Our shop, Hot Plate Restaurant, is at number 49 in Shah Pura. It sits right on the main road in the Manisha Market area of Bhopal. It’s a busy spot with cars and bikes constantly zooming past. I started working here because the owner needed someone who didn't mind the noise of the market. We have a basic setup with some fans and a few tables. The kitchen is tucked in the back and it stays warm all year round. We serve a lot of the local office workers and people who are out doing their daily shopping in the market. It isn't the kind of place where you come for a fancy date. It's more for when you're hungry and just want a plate of food that tastes like it was made at home. I spend most of my morning prepping vegetables and making sure we have enough gas in the cylinders. The Manisha Market crowd is always in a hurry, so we try to keep things moving. Sometimes we run out of certain items by the evening, and we just tell people to try something else. We don’t have a website or anything like that. People just know where we are because of the sign out front. It’s a simple life running a restaurant on a main road in Bhopal. We just show up and cook every day until the lights go off.
