We set up Gavdilodha Farmer Producer Company Limited right here in Gawadi Lodha. Our main office is at C/O Mahender Singh Rajput Gawadi Lodhagaondilodha. He’s one of us, and it’s easier to meet there than anywhere else in the area. We are a bunch of farmers from the village who realized we should probably work together more. Life in Gavdilodha is mostly about the farming seasons. When it’s time to sow or harvest, everyone is busy in the fields from morning until night. We don't have much time for fancy talk or big business plans. This company is our way of trying to get better prices for what we grow and maybe save some money on things like fertilizer or seeds. It’s not a big operation. We mostly just sit around and talk about what’s working and what isn't. Sometimes the younger guys have new ideas and the older ones tell them why it won't work, then we find a middle ground. That’s just how it goes here in our village. We aren't trying to change the world. We just want our village to do a bit better each year. It takes a lot of patience to deal with the land. We know our soil and we know each other. That is basically what our company is built on. Just local people working hard in the dirt and hoping for a good season for everyone who lives around here. We try to be honest and help our friends whenever things get tough.
