Gandhidham Restaurant

Our place is over at Shop no. 3 on Roshanpura Square Road. Being near Raj Bhawan in T T Nagar means we see all sorts of people walking by throughout the day. Bhopal can get quite hot in the summers, so people often duck in here just to sit for a bit and grab a meal. We aren't trying to be the most expensive or fancy place in town. We keep the tables simple and the menu straightforward. Some days are faster than others. When there's an event nearby, we get packed and things can get a little noisy. We try to keep up with the orders as fast as we can, even when it's crowded. Our kitchen isn't massive, but we've got a good routine down. I started helping out here years ago and now I’m the one making sure everything is ready by lunch. It’s a lot of manual work. Chopping vegetables, checking the rice, making sure the floors are mopped. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. If you're walking down Roshanpura Square Road, you'll see our sign. It's been there for a while. Sometimes the light in the back flickers, but we fix it when we have a minute. It's just a regular restaurant where you can get a plate of food without any fuss. We like being part of the neighborhood here. It feels good to see the same regulars coming back week after week for their usual lunch.
