Gaivinath Vegetable And Milk Producercompany Limited is based in Pagarkala village, which is part of the Majhgwan area in Birsinghpur, Satna. Ramvishwas Shukla is our main contact person there. We are folks who deal with cows and crops every day. Our lives revolve around the morning milking and the vegetable patches. It was getting harder to sell just a little bit of milk or a few crates of vegetables on our own, so we thought we’d be better off as a group. Now we can collect everything together and it makes more sense for the transporters and the buyers. We don't have a fancy building or a lot of expensive technology. We just have our animals and our fields. Most of our meetings happen right there in the village, sitting outside and talking about the daily chores. Satna can be a tough place to farm sometimes, but we know the land and we know our cattle. We don't go in for big promises or corporate slogans. We just want to make sure the milk is fresh and the vegetables are good when they leave our village. It’s a simple life, but it’s our life. We work together to make sure everyone in our little group gets a fair shake. That’s really all there is to why we started this whole thing.
