Dungri Mata Aajeevika Samruddh Baira Farmer Producer Company Limited is a bit of a long name, but we are just a group of people from Katthiwada. Our office is right by the NRC and Block Office in Alirajpur. It is a convenient spot because everyone knows where the government buildings are. We are mostly focused on farming and helping the women in our community get a better hold on their livelihood. Jhabua has its own challenges with the soil and the hills, but we have been here forever. We do not have a glossy brochure or a fancy website. We just have our meetings near the Block Office and talk about what needs to be planted. Life in this part of Madhya Pradesh moves at its own pace. Sometimes we are dealing with paperwork, but mostly we are worried about the water and the seeds. We are just a bunch of neighbors who realized that we are stronger if we work as one group. We do not try to sound like a big company because we are not one. We are just farmers. Some days the heat is too much and we sit in the shade of the office, but the work never really stops. We are proud of what we do here in Katthiwada without needing any big titles or corporate talk. It is just about getting by together.
