Down in Gunour, particularly in Ward 7 of the Nagar Parishad, is where you will find us. We are based out of Susheela Pandey’s house in the Saket Nagar Colony area. It’s a residential neighborhood, so it stays relatively quiet compared to the main market area. Chaumukhnath Farmers Producer Company Limited was formed because a bunch of us realized we were all facing the same problems with our crops and selling them. We use the front room of the house for our meetings. There are a couple of ceiling fans that hum loudly, and we keep the windows open to catch whatever breeze comes through Sili. It’s a practical setup for us. We don't have a website or a marketing person. Most people just walk over if they need to talk to us about seeds or transport. The paperwork gets done on a small desk that used to belong to Susheela’s kids. We focus on the farmers around the Tahsil Gunour region. Often, we are out in the colony or at the local mandi instead of sitting in the office. It’s a group effort, and everybody chips in where they can. Chaumukhnath Farmers Producer Company Limited is just the name on the registration papers; to us, it’s just our daily work. We deal with seeds, weather issues, and trying to get a fair price for the harvest. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy throughout the year.
