Bhaukhedi is where we are from. Our group is the Bhaukhedi Farmer Producer Company Limited. You can find us through Suresh Kumar, who is the son of Dharm Singh. We are just a small group of local farmers. There isn't much to say other than we work the land every day. We decided to form this company because the market can be really tough on a single farmer. When we pool our crops together, we have a better chance of not getting cheated. We meet at Suresh's place in Bhaukhedi to discuss our plans for the season. It's not a formal thing with suits and ties. We usually have mud on our clothes because we just came from the fields. We talk about the rain, the seeds, and how to get the harvest to the city. It’s hard work and the sun is hot, but it is what we do. We don't have any big mission statements or fancy goals. We just want to make sure we can buy what we need for the next season. We share the equipment we have and help each other out when someone falls behind. It’s a community thing. We are all friends and neighbors who have known each other for years. This company is just our way of making sure our farming life can keep going for a long time.
