Berasia Sarvashreshth Krish-E Fed Farmerproducer Company Limited

Our group is based in a village called Megrakala, which is out near Lalariya in the Bairasia part of Bhopal. We use Pradeep Meena’s place as our main spot for meeting up. Farming in the Bhopal district has its own set of challenges, and we started this producer company to try and help each other out. It’s a very local thing, with most of us being neighbors or living just a few kilometers away. Pradeep’s house is where all the files are kept, though it’s not exactly a professional filing system. We do our best to keep things in order. Being out in the village means we are right where the work happens. We don't spend much time in the actual city of Bhopal unless we have to go there for government work or to buy something we can't get locally. The name of the company is a bit long, but we just think of ourselves as the local farmer group. We don't have any big marketing slogans. Most of our days are spent checking on the fields or sitting in the shade talking about how the crops are growing this year. Deewan Singh is also involved in making sure things run okay at the village level. It’s a plain and simple way of working. We are just trying to keep the farming tradition going while making it work for everyone involved in the group. We are mostly busy during the harvest time.
