Amritkalash Mahila Farmer Producer Company Limited

Started out in Village Pipariya Kalan. It’s a quiet place in Katni. We are just a group of local women who decided to get together and do something with our farming. Most of us work out of Ward No. 4, specifically around House No. 175. It’s not a big office or anything fancy, just where we meet up to discuss the crops and what needs doing next. We decided to call our group Amritkalash Mahila Farmer Producer Company Limited. Vijayaraghavgarh is our local area and we’ve lived here all our lives. Being a Mahila company means it is mostly us ladies running the show. We deal with the seeds, the harvests, and the long days out in the fields. Some days are harder than others especially when the rain doesn't come on time or the sun is too hot. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. We just know how to grow things and how to help each other out when someone’s tractor breaks or when we need to get our produce to the market. Katni is where we belong. It’s simple work but it keeps us busy from morning till night. We have had to learn a lot about how to manage things properly. It’s different from just farming on your own piece of land. Now we share the load. People know where to find us in Pipariya Kalan if they need to talk about the harvest. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing every day.
