Adaa The Unisex Salon

You can find us on the ground floor of Ashima Mall, right at shop 8 and 9. We are out on Hoshangabad Road in the Misrod area. Since we are in the mall, we get people from all over Bhopal, and even some folks coming in from Hoshangabad since it's a straight drive. We decided to make it a unisex salon so the whole family can come in at once. It’s a busy place, especially when there is a movie starting or a sale in the mall. We have several chairs and a few stations for different things. The lighting is quite bright, which is good for seeing what we are doing with the hair color. I’ve worked in other shops before, but being in the mall is different because you never know who will walk through the door. We do everything from basic trims to more involved styling. Sometimes we are understaffed when someone calls in sick, and I have to apologize to people for the wait. We don't have any fancy mission statement or a big marketing plan. We just show up, do the hair, and make sure the floor is clean for the next person who sits down. It gets a bit cold in here sometimes because of the mall’s central air conditioning, so I usually keep a sweater handy. It’s just a regular salon doing regular work every day. We've been here for a bit and know the other shop owners around us quite well. I think being here has been good for us.
