Mahakalnamah Farmer Producer Company Limited

We’re based out in Khaira, which is part of the Sahar block in Bhojpur. A bunch of us from around this area decided to get together under the name Mahakalnamah. It’s mostly just us local folks who spend our entire days out in the fields near Piru. Most people know each other around these parts, so there isn’t much need for introductions. We don’t have a big staff or a receptionist sitting at a desk. If you come by the office in the village, you’ll probably find someone in dusty clothes just finishing up work for the day. Things move a bit slower in the village, and we like it that way. We talk about the wheat and the rice mostly, and how the prices are looking this week. Sometimes the market prices are okay, and sometimes they’re really not great. We just try to make sure we aren’t doing all this work alone. It’s better to have a group when things get tough. The office is just a simple spot where we keep our records and meet up to have tea. There isn't much to say other than we're working the land like our fathers and grandfathers did before us. We try to keep the old machinery running and the grain moving to where it needs to go. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s ours. We see the same faces every day and we share whatever we know about the weather or the bugs. Bhojpur is a good place for farming.
