Vimal Steels Private Limited

Our place, Vimal Steels Private Limited, is right across from Vijay Dairy in G.I.D.C. Chitra. The address is 800/3. It’s an industrial area, so there’s always the sound of heavy machinery and trucks passing by. Dealing with steel is heavy work and it gets quite dirty. We have a lot of storage space for the metal beams and sheets. The heat in the summer makes the metal touch-hot, so we have to be careful when moving things around. We aren't a corporate office with suits; we wear work clothes that can handle some grease. The dairy across the road is a good landmark for people trying to find us. We’ve been in Chitra for years now. The shed is large and echoing. We spend our time loading and unloading or cutting pieces to size. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. The office part is just a small corner with a couple of desks and a dusty computer. We usually have our lunch together in the shade when it gets too hot. There's a lot of clanging and banging during the day. Sometimes the dust from the road gets inside everything, and we have to wipe down the tables constantly. We just keep working through it. It’s a straightforward business and we don’t try to make it sound like something else. We are just here at 800/3 doing the work that needs doing. That's all there is to it and we stay busy.
