Baba Ramdev Steels

We are located in Gidc Phase 2, which is always full of trucks and the sound of metal hitting metal. Our place, Baba Ramdev Steels, is just a big shed where we keep all the construction steel. It gets very dusty out here in the industrial zone, and our hands are usually stained gray from handling the rods and pipes. We do not have a polished showroom. It is just stacks of heavy iron and steel bars organized by size as best as we can. When a truck comes to load up, we have to clear a path, which takes some time. The heat inside the shed can be quite something during the summer months. We drink a lot of tea from the stall down the road to keep going. Most of our days are spent checking lengths and making sure the counts are right for the builders who buy from us. We don't use any fancy computer systems for the inventory, just a few ledgers that sit on the small table in the corner. Sometimes the paint on the steel chips off, or there is a bit of surface rust if it has been raining, but that is just how it is with metal. We are just workers doing a job in a busy part of town. The sound of the overhead crane is something you get used to after a few weeks. It is heavy work and there is no way around that. We close up when the sun goes down and start again early the next morning.
