Vijay Steels is right in the middle of Lokhand Bazar. If you’ve ever been there, you know it’s the place for anything related to iron and steel. We are in Chokhawala Chambers, room 206. It’s a building that everyone in the trade knows. The area is always buzzing with people talking about prices and logistics. Our office at Vijay Steels is a simple one. We have our files, some old furniture, and a telephone that never seems to stop ringing. The bazaar outside is loud, but inside we just try to keep things organized. We don't bother with fancy interiors or corporate branding. The name Vijay Steels is just painted on the door. It’s a practical place for a practical business. We spend our days coordinating with transporters and checking stock. Sometimes it’s a bit messy with all the paperwork, but we know where everything is. The neighbors in the chambers are mostly doing the same kind of work, so there is a sense of community here. We drink a lot of tea and talk to the people who drop by. It’s the kind of place where a handshake still means something. We’ve been at 206 Chokhawala Chambers for a long time now and we don't plan on moving. It's home. You can always hear the clanging of metal outside, which reminds us of why we are here. It’s just how things go in Lokhand Bazar every single day.
