Kansal Steel Scraps P. Ltd.

Our place is at Plot 23 in Gidc, right across from Nani Khodiar. You can't miss the piles of metal if you are driving by. Kansal Steel Scraps P. Ltd. has been operating out of this yard for a good while. It's a lot of heavy lifting and sorting through stuff that people don't want anymore. We take in all kinds of scrap, and it gets pretty dirty and dusty around here, especially when the wind picks up. The trucks come in at all hours, backing up and dumping loads of iron and steel. We have a small crew that works the cranes and sorts the piles by hand sometimes. It is a bit of a maze back there with all the different stacks. We don't really do the fancy corporate thing. It's more about wearing boots and getting your hands greasy. Most of the guys here have been living in the area for ages. We know the neighbors and the other shop owners around Plot 23. The office is just a tiny room with a fan that barely works, but it does the job for doing the billing. We just keep our heads down and deal with the metal as it comes in. There is always something to move or load. It is a simple business, really. We just take the scrap, sort it out, and send it off where it needs to go next. Most days are long, but we just get on with it.
