Universal Eng. Enterprise

Our workshop is located at Shed No. K1/48 in the Chitra GIDC area. It’s a bit of a trek if you aren't used to the industrial layout here, but once you find K1, we are right there. Universal Eng. Enterprise is mostly about getting the engineering jobs done without a lot of talking. We have our machines set up in a way that makes sense for the flow of work, even if it looks a bit crowded to an outsider. The floor is usually covered in a bit of metal shavings by midday, but we sweep up before heading home. It's a typical engineering shed, nothing too special to look at from the outside, but we have everything we need to fix or make parts. The weather in Chitra can get really dusty, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the equipment to keep things running smooth. We don't have a receptionist or a big lobby; usually, if you walk in, you’ll find one of us with grease on our hands or looking over a blueprint. We’ve been in this shed for a long time, and the neighbors are all doing similar industrial work, so we help each other out with tools or advice when something breaks down. It’s a straightforward way to make a living, and we prefer it that way. We just focus on the lathes and the milling instead of worrying about how the front of the building looks to passersby.
