Jay Engineering

Jay Engineering is located at Plot No. 400/B, right near the Yogesh Rolling Mill on Maruti Workshop Road. We’re part of the G.I.D.C. Chitra industrial area, which means it’s always dusty and there are trucks moving around constantly. Our shop is a bit of a rough place, but it’s where we spend most of our waking hours. We do engineering work, mostly involving metal and parts for other local businesses. It’s hot in the summer and the machines make the air feel heavy, but we’re used to it. We aren't interested in looking polished or having a clean front office. We’d rather have the right tools and enough material to finish the orders we have. People usually find us because they are already in the G.I.D.C. area for something else. We share the road with a lot of other workshops, so there’s always someone stopping by for a chat or to borrow a tool. We don't have a mission statement or anything like that. We just look at the blueprints or the broken parts people bring in and we try to make them work again. It’s a lot of manual labor and sometimes things don’t go perfectly on the first try, but we keep at it until it’s done. We’ve been here at Plot 400/B for a while now and we don't plan on moving anywhere else for the time being.
