Umiya Steels

You can find Umiya Steels over at Plot No. 264 in the 2nd Phase of the G.I.D.C. industrial estate. We are pretty close to the Mamta Weigh Bridge, which is the easiest way to tell people where we are located. The whole area is full of warehouses and big trucks, so it’s a very noisy and dusty environment. We deal with steel all day, which means a lot of heavy lifting and the sound of metal clanging. It’s not a place for someone who likes a quiet office. Our building is just a big functional shed, really. We have the crane and the cutting machines, and that’s about it. There isn't much in the way of decor or comfort here, but that isn't why people come to see us. They come because we have the steel they need for their projects. We don't use any fancy sales tactics or corporate jargon. If we have the grade of steel you want, we tell you the price and we load it up. The weigh bridge nearby is always busy, so there’s a constant stream of traffic passing by our front gate. It can be a bit chaotic during the peak hours, but we’re used to the pace of the G.I.D.C. We’ve been at this plot for a while and most of the other business owners around here know us by name. We just focus on the metal and the orders we have to fill.
