Ultratech Cement

We operate out of Qtr No-E21 in the GCW Colony in Kovaya. Being in a colony means things are a bit more structured than in the middle of a city. This is out in the Rajula taluka of Amreli, so it’s a bit of a trek for some, but we are right where we need to be. The Gujarat heat is no joke, especially in the afternoons, so we tend to start our day very early to beat the temperature. Most of the people we deal with are either living in the colony or working nearby. It’s a bit of a tight-knit community here. We spend a lot of time on our paperwork and making sure the inventory matches up with what’s in the warehouse. The air here sometimes has a salty tang because we aren't too far from the coast. We have a small office area where we keep the computer and the files. It’s nothing special, just a place to get the work done. Sometimes the winds pick up and blow dust everywhere, so we are constantly cleaning off the tables. We don’t have a big sales team; it’s just us handling the day-to-day tasks. It can be a bit repetitive, counting bags and checking delivery notes, but it’s the life we have here. We just take it one day at a time. The routine is the same most weeks, but we stay busy enough with the local demand. We keep the registers updated and wait for the next shipment.
