Ultratech Cement Limited

We're based at the Gujarat Cement Works site in Kovaya. Our office is at C-15, M/S Ultratech Cement Ltd. It’s right in the middle of the action here in the Rajula taluka. Being at the source makes things a lot more practical for us. The dust is just part of the landscape here, and you get used to the sound of machinery in the distance. We’re not sitting in some high-rise building; we’re right where the cement is made. It’s a big site, and we spend a lot of time walking between buildings or checking on the logistics. The weather in Amreli gets really hot, so the office is our main refuge during the middle of the day. We handle the administrative side of things, making sure the orders for Ultratech are processed and sent out to the right places. It’s a lot of paperwork and talking to drivers. The people working here are mostly locals or folks who’ve moved for the job, so it’s a hardworking atmosphere. We don’t bother with fancy presentations or big promises. We just make sure the cement gets loaded and the records are kept straight. It’s a very hands-on way to work, and we prefer it that way. Every day is different, even if the view of the plant stays the same. We usually grab lunch together and talk about the news or how the local cricket team is doing while the trucks get loaded out by the gate.
