If you go down to Jafarabad in the Amreli district, you will find us at the Narmada Housing Colony. We are specifically located in the Engineers Dormitory for Ultratech Cement Ltd, Abg. It is a very functional place, mostly meant for the people working on-site at the cement plant. Since we are part of the group, there is a lot of activity here. The dormitory is where the engineers and technical staff spend their time when they are not at the factory. It is a bit of a trek to get out here, but it is right where the action is. The buildings are sturdy and painted in that standard light color you see at industrial colonies. There is a lot of dust because of the coastal wind and the cement work nearby. We don't have fancy furniture or a reception desk. It is just rooms with beds, desks, and a lot of technical manuals lying around. People are usually coming and going in their uniforms. We eat at the common mess and talk about the kiln or the shipping schedules. It is a dedicated life out here in Jafarabad. We focus on the engineering side of things and making sure the machinery keeps running. It is a hard-working atmosphere, and everyone here knows the value of a long day’s work. We just get on with it, day in and day out, in this corner of Gujarat.
