Ultratech Cement Limited

Our spot is at Quarter No F-161 in the Gujarat Cement Works colony. It’s right in Kovaya, near Rajula city in the Amreli district. This is where many of us who work for Ultratech Cement Limited stay. It’s a simple residential setup that keeps us close to the plant so we can get to work easily. The atmosphere is very down-to-earth. We aren't big on formalities here. Most of our day is spent at the works, and then we come back here to rest. Amreli is a rugged part of Gujarat, and the work at the cement plant reflects that. It’s tough and often messy, but it’s what keeps the lights on. We don't have a mission statement on the wall; we just have a schedule we try to stick to. You’ll see people chatting about the day’s work over tea or walking to the main gate. We focus on the basics. Making sure the cement is high quality and that it gets out the gate on time. It’s a lifestyle as much as a job. We’ve been in this part of Rajula for quite some time. It's not a flashy existence, but it’s honest. We just do our bit and hope the projects we supply turn out well. It is just everyday life for us here in the Gujarat works.
