Sonthaliya Steel Rolling

We have been operating out of Gidc, Phase - 2 for quite some time now. Sonthaliya Steel Rolling is the name on our gate, though most people around here just know us as the place with the heavy rollers. It’s usually pretty hot inside the shed, especially when the machines have been running since five in the morning. We spend a lot of our day moving long bars of steel and watching the gauges to make sure everything is rolling out the way it needs to. The floor is rough concrete, mostly covered in a layer of fine iron dust and some oil spots here and there. It’s a noisy environment, but we’ve gotten used to the rhythmic thumping of the mill. We take our tea breaks sitting on some old wooden crates near the main entrance where there's a bit of a breeze. Gidc is always busy with trucks and other workers, so there’s a lot of activity on the road outside. We don't have any fancy offices or shiny furniture. There’s just a small desk in the corner with a few ledgers and a dusty telephone. It’s honest work that keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes we stay late when a big order needs to be loaded onto the transport trucks. We just do what needs doing and keep the machines maintained. It's not a complicated life here in Phase 2, just a lot of metal and hard work.
