Siddiq Steel Ind. is basically just a workshop and a yard over in Gidc, Phase - 2. We don’t put on any acts here. It’s a place where we work with steel every single day. The floor is cracked in a few places from dropping heavy beams, and the paint on the doors has been peeling for as long as I can remember. We don’t mind it much. Most of our day is spent moving heavy loads around with the overhead crane. It’s a slow process because you have to be careful. If you’re looking for a polished corporate office, you won’t find it here. We have a small room with a table where we eat our tiffins and talk about the news or whatever else is going on. We handle a lot of different steel orders, and every day is a little different depending on what people are asking for. Some days are just spent unloading trucks and stacking everything neatly so we can find it later. It’s hard to keep everything clean when you’re dealing with raw metal and industrial oil. We just do the work and try to keep everything running so people come back next time they need something. It’s a simple way to make a living, and it’s served us well enough over the years we've been in this area, just doing the same work every day.
