We’ve been in this specific unit for quite a few years now. It’s a big open space with high ceilings, which helps a little bit with the heat, but not much. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. If someone wants to talk to us, they usually just walk right into the shop and look for whoever isn’t wearing a welding mask at the moment. We do a lot of basic steel work, taking in big pieces and turning them into smaller ones or whatever the order says. Sometimes we get a delivery that’s all wrong, and we have to spend the whole afternoon sorting it out with the driver. It’s frustrating, but that’s the way the industry is. We try to keep the floor clear so nobody trips, but with all the scraps and offcuts, it’s a constant battle with the broom. Most of our guys live nearby, so we’re all locals. We don't use any fancy software to track our stuff, just a big chalkboard on the wall where we write down what’s going out and what’s coming in. It works well enough for us and keeps the confusion down when things get busy during the month.
