Salasar Steel Industries

Salasar Steel Industries is a small place tucked into a corner of Gidc, Phase - 2. We don’t have a big sign out front, just the address and the name painted on the gate. The yard is usually full of raw steel waiting to be moved inside. It gets pretty cramped when we have two trucks trying to load at once. I spend a lot of my time on the phone or checking the gauges on the equipment. It’s not the kind of job where you go home with clean clothes. Most of us have grease stains that won't ever come out. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or anything. We just show up, see what needs to be moved or cut, and get to it. Sometimes the power goes out in this part of Gidc, and we all just sit outside on the crates and wait for it to come back on. Those are the only quiet moments we get. The neighbors are mostly other steel shops, so we help each other out if someone runs out of welding rods or needs a hand with a heavy lift. It’s a decent community of workers here. We try to keep the paperwork simple because none of us really likes sitting at a desk for too long. It’s more about the physical labor and making sure the inventory matches what we think we have in the back.
