Sainath Steel Industries

If you walk around Gidc, Phase - 2, you’ll find us right near the main turn. We’ve been operating Sainath Steel Industries out of this same spot for years. The building is older than it looks, but it holds up well enough for what we need. Most of the time, the air is thick with the smell of cut metal and grease. It’s a busy area, so there are always trucks backing in and out, which makes the morning commute a bit of a headache sometimes. We focus on getting the steel cut and ready for whoever needs it that day. There isn’t a whole lot of talking while the heavy equipment is running because you wouldn't hear anything anyway. We use a lot of handwritten notes for our daily tasks because it’s easier than messing with a computer when your hands are covered in oil. Sometimes a machine breaks down and everything stops for a few hours while we try to find a spare part or wait for a mechanic to show up from across town. It’s just how it goes. The guys here have been with me a long time, so we all know the routine without having to say much. We close up around six most evenings, though sometimes we stay late if a delivery is behind schedule. It’s a plain shop, nothing special to look at, but we get the work done and keep moving.
