We spend most of our time out here in Bhavnagar, working with the metal and the machines at Garg Casteels. The address is 364001, right in the heart of the industrial side of Gujarat. It gets quite hot in the summer, but we’re used to the heat by now. The yard is usually full of activity, with people moving stuff around and the sound of work hitting the air. We don't have a fancy front office with air conditioning in every corner. Most of us are more comfortable out where the actual work happens anyway. There’s a certain rhythm to how things go here. We show up, check what needs to be moved or processed, and get started. It’s not the kind of place where people wear suits and ties. We wear clothes that we don't mind getting a bit of dust on. The team is like a small family, really. We eat lunch together and complain about the weather when it gets too dry. We’ve been in this part of Gujarat for a while and we know the other business owners nearby. If someone needs a tool or some help, we usually just walk over and ask. It’s a practical way to live and work. We don't put much stock in big speeches or fancy titles. As long as the day’s work is done and everyone is safe, we’re happy to head home and get some rest before we do it all again tomorrow.
