Raj Machine Tools

Our shop, Raj Machine Tools, is located at Shed No. 23-B in the Vitthalwadi GIDC area. If you are looking for us, we are right near Khodiyar Ice-Cream. That is a lucky spot because in the middle of a hot afternoon, everyone wants a cold treat. We have been in this GIDC for many years. The shed is quite old and the paint is peeling a bit on the door, but the machines inside work just fine. We handle various types of tool work and repairs. I spend most of my day on the floor rather than in the office because there is always something that needs fixing or adjusting. It’s a noisy environment with the sound of metal hitting metal all day long, but I’ve grown used to it. My son helps me with the accounts now, which is good because I am not very good with computers. We have a few steady clients from the surrounding factories who bring their repair work to us. We don't promise anything fancy, we just do what needs to be done. The electricity can be a bit patchy in this part of the estate, so sometimes we have to wait around for the power to come back on. During those breaks, we usually sit outside and talk to the neighbors from the other sheds. It's a tight community here and we all know each other's business pretty well.
