We run our business at Plot Number 313 on Alang Road in the Manar area. It is close to Padari Road and you can usually hear the sound of metal being moved around before you even see us. We deal with steel and different kinds of metal parts every day. The yard is usually dusty and there are stacks of material waiting to be loaded onto trucks. It is hard work and our hands are rarely clean by the time the day is over. We have a small office on the side of the plot where we keep the books and take orders from people who drive in. It is not a place for sitting around in clean clothes. We spend most of our time outside checking the inventory or talking to the guys who do the heavy lifting. The weather is either too hot or too rainy but the steel still has to move. We have been at this location for a while and the people around Padari Road know who we are. There are no big advertisements here just a lot of heavy lifting and making sure the counts are right. We close up the gates in the evening when the trucks are gone and the sun starts to set over the yard. It is a practical business for people who need materials for building and we just keep it running day after day.
