Asodiya Engineering Works

Asodiya Engineering Works is out at Plot No.208 in the GIDC Industrial Area of Mithirohar village. It’s a big area with lots of factories and constant noise. We fit right in with the rest of the industrial units. We have a large open space where we do all our fabrication and repair jobs. The heat in Mithirohar can be something else, especially when we are welding metal together. We keep the big fans running all day long but it’s still very sweaty work. The ground is mostly dirt and gravel around our plot. We see a lot of trucks coming and going from the other GIDC units nearby. Most of our guys have been doing this for years and don’t need much instruction to get started. We just get the work orders and start on them. There is always the sound of grinding or hammering echoing through the metal shed. We don’t have a proper office, just a corner with a wooden desk and a few old chairs. That’s where we keep the records and the bills. It gets pretty dark out here at night, but we often stay late to finish a big job. The industrial life is simple in its own way. You show up, you do the metalwork, and you go home. We don't talk much about it, we just do it. It’s been our routine for years and we just keep the machines running.
