Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya

Our school, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, is situated in Bharuch with the pin code 393110. Like most Navodaya schools, we are a bit removed from the main noise of the city. The campus is quite large and has a lot of greenery, which makes it a peaceful place to be. We have dormitories since it’s a residential setup, and you can see the students' laundry hanging out to dry on most days. The main academic building is a sturdy structure with plenty of classrooms and a large hall for gatherings. It’s a bit of a walk from the gate to the main offices, and the paths are lined with shrubs that we try to keep trimmed. The mess hall is where everyone meets for meals, and it’s always a bit loud and smells like dal and rotis. We don't have the fancy facilities of a private boarding school, but we have everything we need for a good education. The staff lives on-site too, so it feels more like a small village than just a school. The buildings are built for utility, with concrete floors and simple lights. In the evenings, you can see the kids playing on the grounds or sitting under the trees. It’s a very practical environment where the focus is just on the daily routine of studying and living together. There’s no pretense here; it’s just a place in Bharuch where students from different backgrounds come to stay and learn. The gates close at night, and it gets very quiet until the morning.
