Our place is out in Gidc Dahej, right near Joluva Village. It’s an industrial area, so there’s always a lot of dust and trucks moving around. Chaina Steel Corporation India Pvt. Ltd. has been operating from Plot No-D-2/6 for quite some time now. Being near the village means we see a mix of factory workers and locals every day. The work is mostly about steel, as you can probably guess from the name. It’s noisy and busy most of the time. We don't have any shiny office buildings here, just functional spaces that get the job done. Sometimes the power goes out or the roads get muddy when it rains, but that’s just how it is in this part of the district. We spend a lot of our time checking shipments and making sure the inventory matches what the records say. It’s not a glamorous job, but it keeps us busy from morning until late evening. The team here is small, mostly people from around the area who know how things work in a GIDC zone. We usually eat lunch together when there's a break in the truck arrivals. It’s a practical environment where the focus is on the physical stock more than anything else. If you come looking for us, look for the big gates near the village boundary. That's where we spend our days.
